Since 1990, John Aaron has assisted in the operation of over 200 pro football combines, including combines conducted for the NFL, CFL, and AAF.
John’s football career began in Long Island, New York at St. Dominic’s High School. In 1984, John won a scholarship to play college football at the University of Richmond where he started at center for the Spiders. Following graduation in 1988, John enrolled in graduate school, earning a Masters in Sports Management in 1991. While in graduate school, John joined the Spider coaching staff where he coached the offensive line and tight ends until 1993.
For the past 23 years, Coach Aaron has played a key role in the development and refinement of regional combine systems and operations. He began as the Richmond, Virginia Regional Director for Scout Camp Pro Football Regional Combines in 1991 and rose to the position of National Field Consultant (NFC) by 1995. In 2000, John became the Director of the entire Scout Camp NFC staff. John remained NFC Director for Scout Camp (later re-named ELITE Football Services) until the company was purchased by the National Football League in 2011.
John is now Assistant National Director-East for the NFL Regional Combines and Super Regional Combine. As Assistant National Director, John directs NFL Regional Combines and assists the National Director in the operation of all aspects of combine planning and field operations.
As a successful executive, John holds the position of Business Development Manager with Kempsville Building Materials.
